Light Display Manager, known as Lightdm or lightdm (on the command line), has been making waves in the Linux world. Lightdm had replaced KDM and was the preferred display manager up to Ubuntu 16. This was replaced by GDM in later versions of Ubuntu. It provides a GUI to manage user logins. Lightdm is cross-platform, meaning that it supports various desktops. Let's install Lightdm in our Fedora 28 system. Previously we had KDM. Let's use the dnf command:
[root@localhost philip]# dnf install lightdm lightdm-gtk
