What is cloud native?

By now, you should be aware that modern applications depend on different methods of both software development and technology. The cloud is everywhere around us. You are likely to use cloud-based applications yourself. I am not only talking about email. Think of the many apps you have installed on your mobile phone. Most of them will use some kind of backend where application logic is executed to produce the results you want. A very recognizable example is the Amazon app, which allows you to order products from the convenience of your mobile phone. Your phone is just the frontend, the UI, to a very intelligent and diverse backend that runs in Amazon’s own cloud.
