Merging data from multiple Explores

Explores are usually designed and prepared by dedicated LookML developers in your team (usually data engineers) and contain data from one or more tables, with a defined relationship between these tables. It is advised to use a prepared Explore to analyze the data.

However, data analysts and other Looker Explorers might need to combine data from multiple Explores in cases that were not predicted by LookML developers, and in this scenario, merged results can help you. They allow you to combine results from different Explores (even from different models, projects, or even connections) for exploration and visualization.

This powerful technique can be used as a test for further LookML development. It can be used as a proof of concept for your future LookML projects and models.
