Integrating two ERP systems
As we mentioned earlier in this chapter, one of the major issues with integrations is knowing your data. You need to know what data is stored in the application you’re wishing to integrate with, how it’s used, and who is using it. I worked on a project for a client who decided they wanted to implement a new property management system in their company. Originally, they had an ISV offering loaded into the D365 system. However, the property management department didn’t have a say in the selection of the ISV, and to be honest, they never really liked it to begin with.
