Summary

In this chapter, we introduced you to the world of Webflow CMS. You saw what makes a dynamic website different from a static website and you learned that Webflow CMS can make creating dynamic websites easier and faster than many CMS solutions out there, including WordPress, which is a popular alternative.

You spent some time understanding the basics of Webflow CMS and how it structures content. You learned that all content models in Webflow CMS live inside structures called Collections, which, in turn, are groupings of items that are made up of fields. Once created, items in a Collection can then be displayed on a website using Collection Lists or Collection Pages.

You were also provided with an overview of what you'll be building on Webflow CMS using the free plan. Specifically, you looked at the main pages of a website called Libraries of the World, where you will be curating a Collection of some of the world's most interesting libraries.
