Duplicating Host Profiles

An existing Host Profile can be cloned to create a duplicate of the same. This can be achieved by using the duplicate Host Profile operation.

How to do it...

The following steps will help you to duplicate Host Profiles:

Connect to vCenter Server using the HTML5 client.
Navigate to Menu | Policies and Profiles.
On the Policies and Profiles screen, go to Host Profiles.
Right-click on the desired Host Profile and click Duplicate Host Profile...:

On the Duplicate Host Profile window, specify a Name for the Host Profile and an optional Description. Then, click OK:

The Recent Tasks pane should show a Create a host profile task complete successfully.
