Creating a datastore cluster
Datastores presented to the ESXi servers can be grouped together into a single I/O and capacity pool called the datastore cluster. The main purpose of creating a datastore cluster is to leverage Storage DRS's functionality to load-balance datastore space utilization and I/O capacity.
For datastores to be in a datastore cluster, they should meet the following requirements:
The datastores in a datastore cluster should only be accessible to ESXi hosts from a single datacenter
A datastore cluster cannot contain both VMFS and NFS volumes

How to do it
The following procedure will guide you through the steps required to create a datastore cluster:
Use the vSphere Web Client to connect to the vCenter Server.
Navigate to Home | Storage:
Right-click on the datacenter in which you intend to create the datastore cluster and click on New Datastore Cluster… to bring up the New Datastore Cluster wizard:
