In this chapter, we covered a lot on how to create a logo. There is a lot more to learn about logos than can be taught in one chapter, but you will have a much better understanding of what’s involved after all we’ve covered in this chapter.
We learned what a logo is, and broke down the elements of a logo, including typography, color, and imagery. We delved even further into logos by looking at the seven types of logos. Understanding the different types of logos can help us make the best choice for which type of logo will be best for a particular brand.
After gaining an understanding of logos, we created a logo step by step, from sketching out rough ideas and brainstorming, to creating a polished black and white logo, and then adding colors and choosing fonts.
