Chapter 5. Troubleshooting Management Points and Distribution Points

In this chapter, we will look at what are really the two fundamental Configuration Manager roles in our site. With the exception of a Central Administration Site, all the other site hierarchies will have at least one management point and one distribution point. Therefore, we should know what to do if and when one of these roles is not working to full effect. There are a number of different configurations and options available when configuring each role, so we will take a look into some of these and how to specifically troubleshoot such variations. As with everything before and after this chapter, a little knowledge can go a long way, so we will spend a little time trying to further our understanding of how each role works.
