Go-to extensions for modeling furniture

As you learned in Chapter 6, utilizing extensions is one way to broaden your SketchUp toolbox. In addition to the RoundCorner plugin by Fredo6, we use the following extensions when building furniture:

• CLF Shape Bender by Chris Fullmer – Take any group or component in your model and bend it along a pre-drawn path. This is a simple concept with a very powerful function. We use this extension when building curved furniture, such as organic sofas and circular consoles.

• Soap Skin & Bubble by Josef L – This extension offers the ability to easily create a multi-faceted face and inflate or deflate the created face. It is especially useful for modeling tufted furniture and complex shapes.
