Setting up your account
It’s finally time to set up a Squarespace account and login credentials. Like many other tools, Squarespace offers the choice of using Google, Apple, or email to create your site credentials. I have always preferred to use email and password over a connected service, finding it easier to log in with multiple sites in my account.
The last step after creating your login will be to give your site a name. You’ll be prompted to add this information after you create a login and password (see Figure 3.6):
Figure 3.6 – Set site title on Squarespace
If you are concerned that this title might change, don’t worry. It is easily edited as we set up our site header in the next chapter. Once you’ve added your title, you’ll find yourself in the Home panel. In the next chapter, we’ll begin looking at all of the new options you’ve just gained access to.
