Choosing a template
In years past, choosing a template was a more complex process, but with Squarespace 7.1 and Fluid Engine, all templates have the same features and layout options, which makes this decision much simpler. Today’s template picker helps users to preview templates that come pre-set with tools and features they may be looking for, and filter by styles that reflect their brand and project aesthetic.
As you can see in this example (Figure 3.4), templates can be filtered by TYPE (features) or TOPIC (project type):

It’s important to note that once you’ve started a project with a site design, it’s not possible to go back to this screen to change your template. Because all sites are equipped with the same technical features, it’s always possible to change your existing template to look and work like a different template manually.
