Using Microsoft Cognitive Services APIs to analyze text
Microsoft Cognitive Services provide over a dozen different APIs for working with text, speech, images, videos, and more. Those APIs offer insights such as emotion recognition or speech intent recognition. Cognitive Services leverage Machine Learning and the wide range of knowledge gained by Microsoft while developing products such as Office and Bing. Cognitive Services APIs aim to arm developers with insights from enterprise-grade artificial intelligence tools by using a few simple lines of code. In this book, we will leverage one of the Microsoft Cognitive Services APIs, the text sentiment Analytics API. This API allows a user to submit text, and provides a sentiment score of the text in the 0 to 1 range, with 0 being the most negative and 1 being the most positive possible score.
