Posing fingers with the Pose brush
We got to try the Pose brush earlier in this book during the Changing resolution for appropriate details section of Chapter 5, Learning the Power of Subdivision and the Multiresolution Workflow.
In this section, we'll take another look at the Pose brush and enable a feature for posing a sculpture that has joints (such as elbows or knuckles).
Getting ready
For this example, we need a sculpture that includes several joints such as knuckles. To follow along, you may either use the geckoFoot.blend
file, or the multiResolutionHand.blend
file from Chapter 2, Overview of Blender's Sculpting Workflows.
Download and open one of these files and Blender, and we'll be ready to try out the Pose brush for posing fingers.
Note
If your computer is not very powerful, you may need to keep the Sculpt subdivision level in the Multires modifier at a low setting to be able to follow along with this section.
