Installing the parcel detector
Now we have confirmed that our system is working. The next task will be to hook up the system to your home.
If you plan to place the system outside, you will need to ensure that it is covered so that it can be protected from the elements. There are a number of options to do this, such as:
- Purchasing an enclosure online. Companies such as Radio shack (http://www.radioshack.com/search?q=enclosures#prefn1=productType&q=enclosures&prefv1=Project%20boxes), Rapid, and Maplin offer a variety of project enclosures.
- Designing an enclosure and having Shapeways (http://www.shapeways.com) 3D-print it for you.
- Building your own enclosure from wood or plastic.
Once you have completed or purchased the enclosure, you will need a box, a small bin or trash can, or something similar for the parcels to be placed in.
Install your parcel detection device in the box. If the enclosure allows for it, you may want to attach it to the side of the box, ensuring that the FRS is located...
