Runtime Fabric on Red Hat OpenShift
Previously, we saw that Runtime Fabric can be installed on VMs/bare-metal servers and self-managed Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE). Runtime Fabric can be also set up on Red Hat OpenShift as a Kubernetes (K8s) operator. Runtime Fabric as a Kubernetes operator can be set up on the following platforms:
- Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS
- Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift
- Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated
- Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud
- Self-managed Red Hat OpenShift editions (Performance Plus, OCP, and Kubernetes Engine)
We won’t do a deep dive into the Runtime Fabric architecture as a Kubernetes operator in Red Hat OpenShift, but if you plan to install Red Hat OpenShift Runtime Fabric services, it supports the aforementioned platforms.
The following is a high-level architecture for setting up Runtime Fabric on Red Hat OpenShift:
