Selecting assignments
Assignments should align directly with your learning objectives. As you review your learning objectives, ensure that they are arranged in ascending order of difficulty. Start with the most basic, and end with the most complex. Using Bloom's Taxonomy, that means starting with remembering, and then moving to higher-order skills, namely understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and, finally, creating.
If you want the student to do or create something and then grade the results, you want an assignment.
