Cloud flow triggered by Dataverse
Sarah learned how to trigger a cloud flow via a Dataverse record being modified, Here, Sarah thought a status change was an appropriate trigger for what was needed. Sarah engineered an automated system using cloud flows to dispatch email notifications to the client upon timesheets being ready for approval, thereby augmenting communication channels and expediting the approval process seamlessly. Sarah envisioned reusing this pattern to fulfill her client’s broader notification requirements; they had a substantial list of notifications and it meant that Sarah could Save As on the flow and easily create new notification flows with the same pattern based on this cloud flow.
Among various connectors available for email dispatch in Power Automate Flow, Sarah opted for Send an Email (V2) due to its compatibility with the client’s Outlook license and its simplicity in attaching files, aligning with their preferences and ease of use.
