At the end of each hands-on project in Part 2, we provide you with a few ideas to extend the intelligence-enabled application. Here are a couple of ideas to enhance the Pictorial Translator:
- Add voice read back for both original and translated texts. Voice read back for the original text will help users learn a foreign language. Voice read back of the translated text will help visually impaired users. AWS provides voice-generation capabilities with the Amazon Polly service.
- Create a native mobile app for better user experience. For example, a continuous camera scan for real-time pictorial translation. The mobile app can leverage the same two endpoints we created. The mobile app is just another frontend to the Pictorial Translator application.
