Maintaining software after deployment
The life cycle of the software engineering cycle remains in the maintenance stage until the software is no longer maintained by the team. Once the initial version of the software has been deployed, adding new features, despite them needing to go through the life cycle to be deployed, is considered maintenance. Maintenance is the phase that keeps the software relevant and useful to its users. Engineers keep it that way by prioritizing and fixing the issues that are discovered and planning for changes in the platforms where it’s deployed. In addition to the software, engineers try to support the code base that is maintainable with clear documentation that is easy for all developers to understand and use.
In the case of Coder Bank, the forward-thinking planning of building a single code base for the mobile apps made maintaining the apps easier. This worked well when newer model of a phone came out and when there was a bad bug in the operating...
