Licensing
A Microsoft Teams Room requires three things to be successful:
- A license
- A resource account
- A device
First, we'll look at the type of licensing requirements for Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Licensing requirements
Like most things in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, an MTR system requires a license.
Microsoft has created two SKUs targeted at licensing meeting room configurations: Microsoft Teams Rooms Standard and Microsoft Teams Rooms Premium. The features that are available for each license are shown in the following table:

As shown in the preceding table, the only real difference is that the Microsoft Teams Rooms Premium license includes a Microsoft-managed service. This managed service offers the following features:
