DTR's backup procedure does not result in any service interruption. A backup process can be executed from any of the cluster nodes. It is recommended to create all backups from the same replica. This will help us to recover at least this replica. We will be able to recreate the full DTR's cluster environment using this replica.
The following list shows which content will be stored as part of your DTR's backup TAR file:
- DTR configurations
- Repository metadata
- User access control and repository configurations
- TLS certificates and keys required for DTR communication
- Images' signatures and digests, including the integration of Notary
- Images' scan results
The following content will not be included within your backups:
- Images' layers
- Users, teams, and organizations
- The vulnerability database used for image scanning
