Understanding infographics and word clouds
Infographics and word clouds are useful tools. There are analysts who specialize in infographics specifically, but we will talk more about that in a moment. First, while these can show data or numbers, infographics and word clouds are more often used to communicate more general concepts. They are visuals that express ideas or generalizations more than hard facts. That said, when you need to explain the flow of data through your ETL pipeline, a pie chart isn’t going to cut it and maybe a flowchart won’t be quite right either, so they are still an important part of the data analyst’s toolkit.
