Summary
This chapter has helped an aspiring CSA close in on opportunities to take a role within an organization. First, 10 industries were explored. Each industry has a specific area of expertise to develop and has opportunities for a CSA to play a critical role in a company’s success within each industry. Also, each industry has unique attributes that determine the potential type of work a CSA will do as part of day-to-day activities.
Next, small start-ups and large enterprises were compared to see what type of differences a CSA would encounter when working for each type of company. Both have pros and cons, and neither is perfect.
Thirdly, as part of the process of landing a CSA role, a comparison between IT organizations and business units was explored to see what type of work environment is provided and how collaboration happens.
