Troubleshooting 101

So far, you’ve learned that the ChromeOS platform can be a very useful tool for many of your everyday and advanced computing tasks. The rock-solid performance it provides has made the operating system, and the devices that run it, increasingly popular among users and organizations alike. Yet even with all of its safety, security, and ease of use, it is still susceptible to failures from time to time.

In Chapter 5, Recovering from Disasters, you learned how to protect the data that your ChromeOS devices store and manage but what about the device itself? Your ChromeOS device, though typically lower in cost than other computing devices, still represents an investment. Therefore, to protect that investment, it is important to understand how to identify and correct issues with your ChromeOS device and software before they escalate into full-blown disasters.
