Summary
In this chapter, we have seen how we can build upon the CentOS host and the LEMP stack and implementing Nginx, MySQL, and PHP. Nginx is quite simple to configure but provides faster access to web content than Apache, but can equally be configured to communicate with PHP and MySQL in the backend. Gaining the basic knowledge of configuring PHP and MySQL to operate with the web server can build the grounding you need to develop your web application further.
In the following chapter, we will see how to implement Puppet on CentOS as a central configuration server to allow configuration changes to be made on one server to replicate to other configured clients.
