Serving dashboards

In the previous sections, we made different changes to Ecommerce Dashboard. Now let’s discover how we can share our dashboard with others. Serving dashboards in Looker can be done in several ways:

  • Through Looker UI or by sharing the dashboard URL
  • By embedding dashboards in other applications
  • By scheduling the dashboard delivery by email, webhook etc.

In this section, we’ll discover how to share a dashboard with others through the Looker user interface.

Getting ready

The dashboard you saved can always be found in Folders -> My folder. When you are in My folder, by clicking on the three dots near Ecommerce Dashboard, you have the option Move the dashboard to another folder (it could be your team’s folder) or add it to the board. Boards in Looker provide a way for teams to find curated dashboards and Looks. Dashboards and Looks, which are stored in folders, can be added to multiple boards. This is one of the ways...
