Installing the JBST 4 theme

Let's get started by downloading the JBST theme. Navigate to your wordpress/wp-content/themes/ directory and run the following command in your console:

git clone https://github.com/bassjobsen/jbst-4-sass.git jbst-weblog-theme

Then navigate to the new jbst-weblog-theme directory and run the following command to confirm everything is working:

npm install
gulp

When all works as expected you can perform the following steps to create a custom theme:

  1. Navigate inside the jbst-weblog-theme directory to the style.css file and open it in your favorite text editor. Once you've opened the file, you'll notice that it only contains some basic styles required for WordPress styles. Site styles are provided by a styles.css style sheet file located inside the assets/css directory, which is compiled by Bootstrap. We'll follow this approach as well. The style.css file then serves primarily to name our theme, give appropriate credits, declare the license, and so...
