Endpoint Protection point
As the name suggests, the Endpoint Protection point deals with the System Center Endpoint Protection functionality of the product. This functionality was introduced with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager and incorporates the now defunct Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010. This feature provides us with endpoint protection for our Configuration Manager in the form of antimalware and firewalling using the Windows firewall. On first glance at the configuration of the role in the console, some people may be a little disappointed as the only options you have available are the Endpoint Protection License terms and the Microsoft Active Protection Service membership. There are, however, a few other places we can look to start troubleshooting this role, first of course being the Monitoring workspace of the console.
