Summary
In this chapter, we saw some industry examples that need weighing control and the challenges faced by machine builders, end users, and software developers while implementing these weighing applications. We highlighted the need for close collaboration among various teams on the machine-building site and the results of ineffective collaboration. In this application, the reaction times are not too high, yet the machine result is critical. Just imagine the machine dispensing 100 g of extra oil while filling 5 kg. In that case, for every 5 kg, 5,100 g (5.1 kg) is being dispensed instead of 5,000 g. Thus, after filling 10 cans of 5 kg, the end user would have lost 1 kg of oil. Therefore, if the factory manufactures 1 ton of products every day, you can imagine the amount of loss the end user would suffer.
