Custom domain setup and custom page creation

There can be different reasons that you might want a custom Okta domain. In this section, we will look into how that is done and how we can use it.

Customizing the sign-in page

You can set a custom URL domain for your Okta tenant. This can be useful if you don't want the end users to know that you are using Okta for application access. For instance, this can be interesting if you want to host an Okta login widget on your intranet. We will look into this later in this section. This custom URL needs to be set up on an Okta subdomain, and your main domain will remain as is. These are the steps to set up the custom URL:

  1. In the first step, you need a domain you own (as well as a subdomain, like login.example.com) and you will need to be able to prove that you own it.
