A product contains one or more APIs, as well as defining a usage quota and terms of use.
If you want to create a new product, you can use the Products option in the API Management blade:
When you create a new product, you must add some information pertaining to it:
- Display name: This is the full name that appears in the developer portal.
- Id: This is the internal name for the product.
- Description: This is the description of the product (it also appears in the developer portal).
- State: If you select Published, the product will be available as soon as it has been created.
- Requires subscription: If you select this option, a developer needs to subscribe to the product (create a new subscription) in order to use it.
- Requires approval: If you select this option, an administrator needs to approve a developer subscription when they want to use the product.
