Chapter 5. Visual Effects – Muzzle Flashes, Laser Beams, and Clones

In the various projects leading up to this point in the book you have looked at techniques and workflows used in editing situations you are likely to come across in nearly every type of project. Project 5 is a diversion away from that, where you will look at creating a special effects scene using many of the techniques you might have seen on the big screen.

However, in an effort to keep this book accessible to all Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 users, the entire project will be created using only those effects and tools available in the standard version. This will mean creating your own muzzle flashes and laser bolts, and also a variation on the bleach bypass look favored by many film makers.
