The FORM Environment

In this chapter, we will learn how to create mesh objects within the FORM environment. The FORM environment doesn’t use any parametric tools or constraints, which means you are able to freely adjust your model as you would if you were modeling with a block of clay.

We will first learn how some of the tools work by experimenting on a box model and, once we are familiar with the typical tools used within the FORM environment, we will create an organic computer mouse. By the end of this chapter, you will know how to use the Edit Form tool, create form models, and edit these types of models.

In this chapter, we’re going to cover the following main topics:

  • Overview of the form environment
  • The CREATE and MODIFY tools
  • The Edit Form tool
