This chapter has looked at a number of human factors that have impacted cybersecurity. It has discussed the current statistics of the attacks and losses that are directly attributable to human factors. The chapter has looked at the debate by executives as they decide between business and cybersecurity. Some executives see it as a waste of resources to draw money from the organization and use them on cybersecurity products. Cybersecurity is expensive and not all organizations are willing to pour out the required resources especially with other competing priorities that seem to be profitable. As a result, the organization is not well secured due to such choices, making it easy to hack.
