Resizing frames
In this recipe, we will learn how to resize frames in InDesign, doing so freehand, resizing to precise width and height values, and doing so by exact percentages. We will also look at useful shortcuts for resizing your content proportionally along with the frame and auto-resizing the frame to display all overset text.
Getting ready
In order to complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. You will also need to know how to create new frames on your pages, as shown in the Creating rectangle or elliptical frames recipe found earlier in this chapter.
This recipe will also involve resizing a frame containing an image; if you haven’t previously worked with images in InDesign, this is covered in Chapter 5, Working with Images in Your Documents.
