Capability maturity levels – Continuous feedback

The model illustrated in Figure 4.8 presents a continuous feedback CMM across five levels:

Level 1: Manual & Unmeasured – Characterized by limited communication, ad hoc feedback collection, basic tools, and minimal metrics:
- People: Limited communication and understanding of feedback’s value.
- Process: Ad hoc feedback collection, no formal process.
- Technology: Basic tools, if any, for feedback collection.
- Metrics: Few, if any, metrics to measure feedback implementation or impact.
Level 2: Continuous Integration – Feedback is integrated within development phases, considered during CI, with initial tools for collection and basic metrics for frequency and impact:
- People: Feedback is integrated within the development and integration phases.
- Process: Feedback is considered during CI.
- Technology: Initial tools for feedback collection integrated into CI.
