Collision domain
In a collision domain, all end devices, such as computers, compete with each other to use the medium for transmitting a message over the network. An example of a collision domain is a hub-based network. A hub operates on half duplex, which means only one device can transmit data at any point in time, and each connected device on the hub has to share the same bandwidth with the other devices.
