Establishing shared coordinates in our design models

As you’ve realized by now, Autodesk Civil 3D has a plethora of tools and extensions that can really optimize and speed up the design and collaboration processes we are required to perform on our projects. We’ve covered how we can improve our design workflows along with our overall model management processes with a heavy focus on the civil side.

With designs often requiring multiple disciplines and multiple products to complete, it’s important to recognize some of the workflows that can be used to streamline cross-product design integration. This is key to ensuring we have a well-coordinated model at the design phase and that we are limiting conflicts that could potentially arise during construction.
