Chapter 5: Creating and Manipulating Media Content
In the previous chapter, we looked at the many ways of getting content outside of Animate for distribution or further work, but what about actually creating content?
This chapter covers many of the creative capabilities of the software, starting with a refresher regarding how to create shapes and add motion to them. We will follow up with the use of symbols and explore the various types of symbols available to us in Animate. We will learn why and when to use certain symbol types in different circumstances, and how to create motion with them. Importantly, we will explore the various easing profiles available within the software that allow us to refine our motion more naturally.
After reading this chapter, you'll be able to do the following in Animate:
- Design and animate vector content using shape tweens.
- Create symbols and animate them using classic tweens.
- Apply natural easing profiles to your animated content...
