Chapter 3. Setting Up Hyper-V Replication
In this chapter we will introduce Hyper-V replication, which is also called Hyper-V Replica. Hyper-V Replica was first introduced within Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V. This new feature allows an administrator to replicate a production virtual machine from one Hyper-V server to another Hyper-V Replica server in the same site or any other site. Once the virtual machine is being replicated to the Hyper-V Replica server, an administrator can anytime perform a planned or unplanned failover, in which the replicated instance of the virtual machine is mounted on the Hyper-V Replica server. We will go deeper into the Hyper-V Replica architecture, and also see all its related components in the upcoming...
