Identifying the right set of UAT users

Finding and staffing the right testing team member with the right skills, business knowledge, and right attitude plays a very important role during UAT. For UAT to be effective, there are multiple dimensions. The most important dimension in testing is the tester who is performing UAT.

UAT testers should be involved right from the start of the projects and they usually are your key stakeholders who help define, refine, prioritize, and approve your project requirements. These users are involved in every phase and are intimately aware of various project artifacts at every stage of the project. They should be aware of how things have taken shape along the course of the project phases. They are the recipients of the final software solution and they have the commitment and attitude to make the project successful. UAT gives these experts an opportunity to test-drive production in terms of working systems and helps us identify potential real issues...
