Importing vector shapes
Tinkercad can import and export vector image files in an SVG format like how STL and OBJ files can be used for 3D models, as discussed in the Importing a 3D model section earlier. Vector images are images that are created using points and paths, which differ from the more commonly used raster image files made from pixels, such as photographs. Vector image files are widely used in the industry for logos, artwork, and production, and we can take advantage of these files to enhance our 3D designs in Tinkercad as well.
But before you look to incorporate a vector image into a Tinkercad design, it is important to identify where vector images can be obtained from, as well as ensure that they are vector files that will work well with Tinkercad.
