Designing the top part
The first part of our trophy is going to be the top half, which will stand prominently atop a base that we will be designing later in the Designing the base part section. We will break this first part down into a few steps, starting with the cup itself.
Modeling the cup
To model the cup, we will follow these steps:
- After creating a new Tinkercad 3D design, grab a Paraboloid shape and bring it onto your workplane. We can then dimension this shape to be however large we want our trophy to be. As an example, I have modeled mine to be 85 x 85 x 65 mm in L x W x H as shown in Figure 15.1:

- Next, we can rotate the Paraboloid by 180 degrees so the flat surface is facing up, as shown in Figure 15.2:

- Now we are going to make a copy of the Paraboloid, and then scale this copy down so it fits within...
