Line Chart

A line chart connects several data points across a timeline to create a line, to showing trends over time.

Items needed to build this chart are as follows:

Columns	Date Field, Continuous
Rows	Continuous measure
Marks	Line

Now it is time to start building a line chart. Use the following steps to create one:

1. From the Data pane, select the required fields for analysis. The preceding chart uses Superstore Data with Order, Date, and Profit.
2. Drag the dimension that represents the time periods onto the Columns shelf.
3. Drag the measure to analyze the trend onto the Rows shelf.
