Tokenization services
A tokenization service allows you to protect sensitive data. For example, let’s say an incoming message contains sensitive data such as credit card numbers or Social Security numbers. This data can be tokenized using a tokenization service. MuleSoft provides a tokenization and detokenization policy that can be configured at the API gateway level.
To enable a tokenization and detokenization policy in API Manager, you should deploy a tokenization service in Runtime Fabric.
