Summary
In this chapter, we had a look at the basics of connectors, connector categories, and different connectors available in Exchange.
We have understood how File Connector, FTP Connector, and SFTP Connector help to process files across the file system. We have learned how to use Database Connector to connect a database and explored watermarking too. We have used Web Service Consumer Connector to consume a SOAP-based web service. We have also gone through VM Connector and JMS Connector to publish and consume a message asynchronously.
Finally, we have also seen how accelerators help to reduce the work.
On completing this chapter, you have enough knowledge on different connectors to connect various systems.
In the next chapter, Chapter 14, Best Practices, Tips, and Tricks, we’ll explore the best practices that we need to follow while designing and developing MuleSoft integrations and APIs.
