Service Level Monitoring for third-party targets
We discussed Service Level Management earlier in this book. Also, we learnt about creating service level and service tests in Chapter 4,Managing Oracle WebLogic Server.You can use Service Level Management features with third-party targets. For example, you can use the Service Level management feature to monitor service level of a web application running in JBoss Application Server or service level for an LDAP search in Microsoft Active Directory.
We will summarize the steps for Service Level Management in order to recap, using an example of Active Directory:
1. Create a system for the underlying infrastructure components/targets that provide the service. For example, the Active Directory System includes the Active Directory Server and the host.
