In the security model, the concept of sharing has been provided so that a record can be accessed by a user who does not have access through the security model. You can share a record with other users and teams.
The Share privilege permits a user to share a record. If a user does not have the Share privilege on a record, the Share button will either be disabled or even hidden in the user interface.
When a user shares a record, the user specifies the privileges the other user or team will have, out of Read, Write, Delete, Append, Assign, and Share:

You cannot give another user a privilege you do not have; that is, if you do not have the Delete privilege on a record, you cannot select Delete while sharing the record.
You can also share the following:
- Personal views
- Personal charts
- Excel templates
- Word templates
It is better to share with teams as it reduces the management overhead.
