Existing environment

You have data in the following data stores:

• On-premises Microsoft SQL Server 
• Excel spreadsheets in OneDrive for Business

You have the existing applications:

• Expenses application: This was developed in Visual Basic and runs on Windows computers and captures details of travel expenses. Data is stored using SQL Server.
• Authorization application: This was developed with Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) and controls the authorization of travel expenses. Data is stored using SQL Server.
• Analytics application: This provides analysis of expenses and authorizations. Data is exported to Excel to produce charts and visualizations.
